Okay, I'm writing everything down in the artist's comments because I am a terrible speller, I wrote very quickly here, and to give people the opportunity to translate the writing.
The Topside of the wings are on the right.
The underside of the wings are on the left.
.The top row of wings is the External Anatomy. On the Topside the feathers overlap each other starting from the base of the wing. On the Underside the feathers overlap each other starting from the end of the wing.
.The second row is a sample where I put the flow line. It is basically a stick version of the placement of the bones.
.The bottom row is what the wing looks like under the feathers. I can't say this is 100% accurate but I did my best. The Zoobooks "Birds of Prey" helped me out a bit.
.Tip: Bird wings are very thin. So, when drawing them try to imagine the wing flowing like a piece of really thick cloth--like that of a blanket comforter or something.
1/2/11 As of now I'm ill and don't have a whole lot of energy to devote to thorough, accurate drawings. So, you will just have to settle for this.
